Belvo’s payment initiation (PSE) allows you to collect payments via:
- sharable payment links
- payment intents (server-to-server integration)
We’ve created a public Postman collection for you to quickly get set up using Belvo’s Payment Initiation API (PSE). 😉
To start collecting payments in Colombia, we need you to get onboarded. Just follow our PSE Prerequisites guide and you'll be up and running in no time.
Belvo's Payment Link is a link that can be shared with customers, and when clicked, it will open a fully responsive payment widget that guides the user through the payment process. To create a payment link, you only need to provide some basic information, such as the payment amount, the receiving account, and a description of the payment. Once the link is created, you can share it with your customer, and they can complete the payment quickly, easily, and securely.
Ready to collect your first payment through payment links? Check out our dedicated PSE Payment links guide.
For server-to-server integrations, you’ll create a payment intent that keeps in-depth information about your user’s journey throughout the payment process and walks you through the necessary steps that you need to guide your user through in order to complete the payment flow.
Ready to start collecting Payments? You'll need to choose the right guide depending on your customer's use case:
- PSE Payment intents: new customers (Belvo flow) - for when your customer makes a payment for the first time through a Belvo-integrated institution.
- PSE Payment intents: subsequent (Belvo flow) - for when your customer makes subsequent payments through a Belvo-integrated institution.
- PSE Payment intents: inflow payments (non-Belvo flow) - when your customer makes a payment with a non-supported Belvo institution or you want to create a payment intent using this flow.
